Counselling

Counselling
The aim of counselling is to provide an opportunity for the client(student) to work towards living more satisfyingly and resourcefully. Counselling relationships vary according to need but may be concerned with developmental issues, addressing and resolving specific problems, making decisions, coping with crisis, developing personal insights and knowledge, working through feelings of inner conflict or improving relationships with others.

Counsellor focus on their clients' goals. Thus, counselling involves both choice and change. Counselling is to help client(s) sort out problem areas in his/her life, provide a safe environment in which to explore and express feelings about these areas, and develop better methods of addressing these issues.

Counsellor will work with client to aide in increasing self awareness, improving self confidence and acceptance, enhancing client's ability to cope during changes and challenges, and improving client's decision making and communication abilities.
